Rubber Application

Butyl Rubber (IIR)

Ha Thanh exclusively applies the technology, materials, and process techniques for rubber lining from OHJI Japan, providing a full-package service from rubber materials to complete project execution.

Butyl is the type of rubber with the best chemical resistance. It has the lowest vapor permeability among natural rubbers. It offers excellent resistance to H₂SO₄ and HF, making it suitable for FGD equipment, phosphoric acid plants, and nickel plants.

  • Reliable application
  • Precise thickness
  • Strong adhesion
  • Easy defect detection
  • Easy to repair
  • Very durable service life

Characteristics

  • ( 01 )

    Gas Impermeability

Butyl rubber has very low gas permeability, providing better protection for products and preventing gas loss.
  • ( 02 )

    Chemical Resistance

Butyl rubber maintains its properties under various temperature conditions, which helps ensure performance in applications.
  • ( 03 )

    Chemical Resistance

Butyl rubber is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including inorganic acids and alkalis, with high efficiency in practical conditions.
  • ( 04 )

    Durability and Stability

Butyl rubber performs well in harsh environments, helping to maintain long-term durability and performance.

Application

Ha Thanh exclusively applies the technology, materials, and process techniques for rubber lining from OHJI Japan, providing a full-package service from rubber materials to complete project execution.

Rubber mats with a thickness from 3mm to 20mm (1m width) and unlimited length, 100% free of air bubbles. Widely used for anti-corrosion lining for the equipment operating in the conditions below.

It offers excellent corrosion resistance against H3PO4 acid, H2SO4 acid, and acidic gas solutions. Among soft rubbers, Butyl rubber has the best heat resistance, chemical resistance, and vapor permeability, making it the ideal solution for anti-corrosion applications against H2SO4, H3PO4, and for equipment in Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) towers.
